Faith is 19
After being forced to leave school over a silly thing as grades, Faith had no choice but to strike it out on her own. Her parents have already put a deposit down on a small apartment bungalow as they call it and there is no room for Faith. She doesn't mind too much since she wasn't much of an image booster for her pastor father.
Instead she found a ratty two bedroom apartment on the southside of the Metro and got a roommate. Cara was a bit rough on the edges, but so was Faith and the two women hit it off wonderfully after meeting in person. Together they hit up all the garage sales and online auctions to furnish thier place which the landlord said was undergoing renovations. Faith didn't know that meant that the walls were bare sheetrock, if that and the vintage kitchen meant that the kitchen hadn't been updated in simyears.
Thankfully the apartment had it's pluses and one of them being The Pancake House right next door. Faith loved that she could wake up, sniff the air and know what the special of the day was."No way! This is my part time job, something to pay the rent. I'm an artist, mostly charcoals and watercolors, sometimes spraypaint."
Faith nodded.
The blue plate special didn't even come on a blue plate, so why was it called a blue plate special anyhow? Faith tried not to concern herself with such thoughts and instead enjoyed the warm thick gooey mac & cheese. She needed the substance for work tonight, well the work that she found for tonight.
a few more hours covering for a sick bartender. Faith walked home later that evening, or early that morning, whichever you perfer with a little under §150. Not bad if you were living at home and your parents were footing the bill, but when you've just been expelled and you have an awful lot to prove to the world, then you have to do better."Professor Scampi! What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you. How are you doing, Faith?"
Faith smiled. "I'm doing ok. I didn't move to the biggest mansion on the block, but you have to start from somewhere, right?"
Professor Scampi smiled. "Yes, you do. I can't stay long, I have a 2 o'clock class, but I wanted to give you this." He said pressing a handful of simoleans in her hand.
"Hopefully it will help and don't hesitate to give me a call, ok?"
Faith kissed the man tenderly, "I'll call you."
After she counted the stack of bills (about§2100, if you're curious), she whipped out her cell phone and dialed.
"Wake up! I'm sure you have a class or something you should be at!"
"Faith? Is that you?"
"Who else would it be, Bill?"
"Wow, how are you?"
"I'm doing well. I got a place in the Metro, enjoying the independent life. No classes, no tests, nothing."
"That's great, Faith."
"Well, I gotta go. Have fun in your sucky classes." She teased.
"You too, take care of yourself."
"Don't I always."

"I just moved next door." Faith chatted with the cutie who shared the hot tub with her.

"That's great. Hey, do you want to-"
Faith tossed a couple of insults his way before leaving the warm swirling water. It wasn't that she wasn't interested, but she did like to have a name before bumping uglies with some sim.
To calm herself, she found an unoccupied bubble blower and lost herself in the uplifting round orbs. She finds herself a bit hungry, but walking to The Pancake House means finding her discarded clothes and right now she's pretty comfortable in her bikini.
Instead she raids the keg in the corner. After a few cups she decides to forgo the cups and drinks straight from the tap.Good thing she had such a good roommate like Cara to carry her up the stairs and hold her hair while she puked. Cara even left her a to do list the next morning.
For Faith
1. You got the job at Stop & Snack. Call the
manager at x23522. Remember you agreed to go out with my friends, including the one with the "tight butt" (your words not mine) Dick. They'll be here at eight to pick us up.
3. Brush your teeth.
4. Eat something that doesn't resemble mold or
comes in a can or is in liguid form.
Faith smiled and happily completed her tasks on her list-even eating a heaty pork chop meal from The Pancake House. At 7:55 there was a knock on the door and Dick along with three other friends of Cara stood at the door.
"Let's go!" Cara roared from her bedroom pumping her fists and the small crowd raced down the stairs and across the street. Thier destination was 39th Street, full of diners, bars and general fun.
Instead she truly let herself go and enjoy the moment, the sound of music swirling around her, the smell of hot dogs and gyros sinking in her hair, the feel of her foot stuck to the sticky spot on the floor. Faith smiled, every girl knew that when you went to the movies, there was going to be very little movie watching.
"Ok."
"Wow, well, I-"
Faith cut the talking short by grabbing him in a deep embrace. Yep, it was a very good night, a very good night indeed. So good, it ended with Dick asking her to come to a party at his building-like right now. Faith didn't hesitate, ok, she hesitated long enough to change into clothes that didn't smell like burnt hot dogs and accompanied Dick to his apartment.

"This isn't that bad of a place."
"Thanks, too bad it's on the demolition block."
"What, really?"
"Yea, something about glowing mold in the walls."
"That sucks."
"If they keep jacking up the price, then what are sims supposed to eat with thier lunch meat sandwiches? What's going to happen to grilled cheese sandwiches? Some sims LIVE off of those things."
Faith nods, wishing she didn't have to depend on processed cheese as her food source. However bewteen the block of processed cheese-that is starting to get a little moldy-and The Pancake House, Faith wouldn't survive.
"Enough talk about cheese and simoleans, let's dance!"

And dance they did. Since dancing worked up an appetite and neither wanted to eat cheese, they hiked across the street to the prerequisite never closing diner.

"I want the biggest greasiest hamburger, double pickles, half mayo, extra mustard with a large order of hot extra salty fries and a large diet soda."
"Oh, you're one of those." Dick said laughing.
"One of what?"
"Those sims who order huge meals and end it with a diet soda."
"Whatever, I like the taste of it. Besides, be happy I didn't order dessert, I loooove chocolate and that double chocolate mousse cake with ice cream looks really good."
"Yea, pretty new. Do you have all the names and faces of the sims in the Metro?"
"Just the pretty ones."
Faith rolled her eyes.
"Ok, that was bad, I admit it...but you are pretty."
"Thanks."

"Yea, me either. Do you know if you're going to come down for graduation?"
"I will try, maybe you can come to my graduation as well. It's going to be very interesting. They tend to reuse a lot of kimikurian rituals and it's a very colorful event."
