Remar, summer, 2007
Tomorrow was the big day, her little sister would be getting married and she was up with her youngest daughter, waiting for Walt to come home and trying not to trip over Olivia or the numerous stale bottles on the floor.

Holding Back, Part 2, 2007
Hapar, spring, 2007
Susie is 21; Anthony Wren is 26
Susie groaned as she heard a knock on the door. She really didn't want to move, moving made her throw up, so did eating, sleeping, not eating, reading, or seeing the color red.

Snuggle Sea Bear,
The team has been staying in these cheap cabins at the base of the mountain in bewteen our shows.
Finally the other dancers on the team are listening to some of my ideas, I guess they had to put me through the whole newbie iniation thing first.
Thankfully now I'm no longer the newest dancer on the team.
At our last stop, one of the dancers suffered an injury, so we had to find a replacement fast.
She's a decent dancer, break dancing isn't her strong point, she's a ballerina by training.
When I asked her why she got into break dancing, she said that it was a dare from a former lover. The dancing bit paid off while the lover didn't.
At times she can be a bit talkative, especially when I'm trying to soak my sore muscles after a rough performance. Have you ever experience sitting in a hot spring while snow is piled up around you? It's an interesting experience. Gets your blood flowing.
It's my turn to cook for the team this simweek. Since there's only a grill at our base location, I've been making hot dogs and hamburgers. Good cheap food, served piping hot and fast. I haven't burnt that many hot dogs, you'd be proud of me.
It was over llama burgers that Mister Infinity told me about a spot in the Aerial Bionic music video for their newest single. He said that he would recommend me for the spot. I still have to audition when I return, but his recommendation is highly regarded.
Who knows, maybe you'll see me dancing on the small screen soon. Remember when I was the dancer standing with 8 other dancers, behind that one dancer, who was standing behind all the famous people? Well, those days are long gone.
tasting the local broiled catfish
and conversing with the locals.
I also learned a new dance, I'll have to show you when I return,
and of course I've been performing.
I'll see you soon,
Susie

Snuggle Sea Bear,
We made it to our final tour stop. It's so cold here at Mount Azul.

Soon I'll be the dancer standing in front of the other 8 dancers, behind the famous people. Anthony, you better call your mom, cause I've made it to the middle!
I have taken some time out to explore the surrounding area. Mostly doing the tourist thing, buying souveniors
tasting the local broiled catfish
and conversing with the locals.
I also learned a new dance, I'll have to show you when I return,
and of course I've been performing.
I'll see you soon,

Snuggle Sea Bear, 2006
Givar, winter, 2006
My Wiggly Woobey Cutie,
I received your photos, I can't believe that you had to dance that close to the volcano. I bet it was amazing to finally see the famous Red Orifice up close and personal. I put the lava rock on the shelf in the apartment. Sometimes when I look at it, I can swear that it glows.
I couldn't sleep the other night so I went out for coffee at Bistro des Amis. It was strange being out so late alone. You would have enjoyed sim watching and making up funny stories about the sims surrounding us. There was a pair of young women sitting near me and I could imagine that they were a part of the secret spy ring for the controller, making sure that we sims behave and have no valid wants of our own.
I got a bit distracted by one couple. They were very much in love and I couldn't help but miss you even more as I looked at them. I felt a bit like a creep looking at them entangled in an embrace, but I still had plenty of coffee to finish and they were in public...maybe they like to do those things in public, much like you've been after me to woohoo in the photo booth.
I did find the perfect photo booth for us to try when you return home. I went to Queenpin Bowling for a cheap hot dog and saw a lone photo booth in the corner. It was fairly secluded, so I think that if we try it there then we won't get caught.
I think that it was teen night at Queenpin Bowling since there were a ton of teens hogging the jukebox. I left fairly quickly after then, dancing alone isn't a good look for any sim.
Work is going really well. I'm trying to identify a few strange specimens that the dive masters have brought up.
It's truly a strange specimen, in fact I was able to find another sample of the specimen during a dive of my own.
When I'm not researching the identity of the new specimen
I am tending to my current crop of specimens
and checking on the progress of my other experiments, such as creating an elixir to cure sims of plantophic.

I took your advice and after several phone calls from Faith urging me to go out, I know you told her to do this, I finally went out for a "night on the town" as you two call it.
I stopped by the pub and with school back in session it was full of university students.
It was annoying. Their childish flirting was pathetic at best
and hilarious as worst.
Finally an adult stopped into the bar and we chatted about our jobs, but he came to the bar to "get some young booty" as he called it. I left soon afterwards and headed home.
Our home seems so empty without you. I think the worst part of my day is climbing into our empty bed and you're not there.
I try to sleep, but find myself reaching out for you in the middle of the night.
I can't wait for you to come home soon.
Forever your Snuggle Sea Bear,
Anthony

Make it Work, 2006
Remar, summer, 2006
Susie knew that she would have to say something soon. She wouldn't be able to hide her secret very long before it became painfully obvious. She sighed and stared at the TV, half wishing that it would instruct her on how to approach the subject. Anthony knew that there was something on Susie's mind, he wasn't dumb and could read her fairly well.
"Tell me, Susie," he demanding, placing his book aside.
Where would she start? It started so innocently, she went to work as usual to lead the simweekly simjazzer class at the gym. Local celebrities would come in all the time, but when street dancing superstar Mister Infinity walked in. Susie knew that she only had one chance. She had been working on some moves of her own outside of work and considered busting them out for Mister Infinity, but then again she could just lead the SimJazzer class as usual since that was what she was paid for.
She decided to bust her moves out for him which needless to say impressed him. His words still rang in her ears "Dang! You got some pretty sweet moves and excellent body control. What are you doing leading a silly SimJazzer class? You and me, we're taking this on the road."
By taking this on the road, he meant that she would be joining him for his international tour, a full simyear of dancing with one of the greatest street dancers in the nation. She couldn't turn that down.
"We have to break up," she concluded, playing with her hands to avoid looking at Anthony.
"What?"
"I can't marry you," she sighed.
Anthony stood still for a moment fighting for control of his emotions. This woman was slowly tearing his heart into pieces with her refusal to see that they were perfect for each other. It was almost as if she was deliberately trying to sabatoge their relationship. Thankfully for Susie, Anthony had seen it all before. After his parents divorced, he watched his mother push man after man away. He would listen to her talking with friends about how she didn't deserve this guy or that guy, how they would eventually just leave anyway because what man would want to become involved with a single mother. He would hear her cry alone at night or scream heated words of disdain into the phone.
"Give me one good reason why you can't marry me." he growled.
"We will not work out," she stammered. "Your job, your dream is here. You finally have what you've been working so hard for, and now I have an opportunity to have what I've been working so hard for, but...but it's not here. It's not here with you."
"That's not a reason for us not to get married."
"What are you going to do? Follow me from city to city on this tour? Or the next tour, perhaps?"
"No, of course not. But, we can make it work, baby, please, we can make it work."
"How can we make it work? We'll be in two different locations, how can that work?"
"We'll just have to postpone the wedding until things with your career are a bit more stable and then we'll just work harder at our relationship. Long distance relationships can work."
Susie wanted to believe him, she really did. But she knew that he was an attractive man and already women gave him that look as if they could swallow him whole. However, Susie was more afraid of what she would do while away from him. Those porno worthy thoughts still plagued her and she worried that she would give in if she wasn't around him constantly. How could she deny herself if Anthony was on the other side of the world and probably wouldn't find out...what if he did find out? She didn't want to go through that guilt. She already was hiding guilt from him with the whole Walli situation.
"At least try, Susie." Anthony pleaded. "Let's try for this simyear...if it's meant to be, we'll work, if not..."
Susie looked into Anthony's eyes, his unshed tears matched her own tear filled eyes. "Alright...we'll try."
---
"You know, most couples pick a star to look at when they're apart. Just knowing that your partner is looking at the same star as you makes the distance seem so much smaller."
"So, are we going to pick a star...or a cloud?" Susie teased.
"I'm going to miss seeing your smile every simday," Anthony whispered holding her close.
"But we'll talk every simnight, and email."
"And you'll take a ton of photos."
"I will, I promise."
"I love you,"
"I love you too."
"Let's go home, let me remind you again of how much I love you."
"Again?" Susie teased.
"Unless you rather take another walk,"
"No...I rather you remind me, again and again and again."
