Nothing Much is New

Havar 2000
The twins turned 5, thank goodness because two toddlers are the worst in taking care of! We gave away our beloved cats due to thier destructive nature. We could barely afford to keep replacing the furniture or items they continued to destroy. Work is going well, thankfully I still have a job, Johan has been promoted so to speak so we have a little more money coming in, but we still have to watch the simoleans carefully.

Some Photos

I decided to put a few photos of the family...nothing much has been happening...simply looking for a new place to move and watching the economy...yikes. It's a bit scary seeing the stock market fall...I still wonder how it will affect us...hopefully not a lot.

Pottery Makes Business

I have found a new passion...clay plates. I love the feel of the clay bewteen my fingers...it relaxes me after a long day of arranging flowers at the market. Not that I don't love creating bouquets, but with some pottery and selling it to the local gallery...I could make some more simoleans and more simoleans means a better life for the twins.

Growing Fast

The twins are growing so fast and learning even quicker! Wow, our children are smart as can be. Myra has already learned to talk and she's working on walking while Naraj is a walking pro! Both children enjoy drawing and playing with blocks or either watching the snow from the windows...soon they'll be teens before we know it!

Mommy's Little Lady

Myra grew up to be quite the little toddler. She has her father's mouth...I hope she grows into it well. Both twins are as smart as can be, already showing interesting in learning to talk and walk. I think they want to be independent all ready!

The house is almost complete, so we are packing up and making sure we have everything. We move-in on Christmas day, so our gift will be the new house. Other news is that the cat will deliver any day now, can't wait to see what the litter looks like.

Last Simday

On our last simday I did a bit of shopping. I picked up some souveniors for the twins and found a book with photos of the island for Johan. While in the shop I was fascinated with these large tropical birds. I wouldn't mind buying one for the house, but the cats would probably terrorize it...still, they were so very cute. I might have to discuss it with Johan, but we'll have to wait until the new house is complete and we move in.

Exploring the Night

I signed up for a night ghost watching tour while Sandy and Li enjoyed the spa again. We toured the tattered remains of The Green Maiden, a ship wrecked off the coast that is in the process of being restored. There are rumors that the captain haunts the ship, so I explored every nook and cranny looking for ghostly apprearences. I found an old journal and plenty of dust, but nothing else.

Finally Warm Weather

We visited the beach today, it was so relaxing. When the twins are older I would love to bring them to the beach. I bet they would love playing in the sand and swimming. I spent time just looking for seashells for thier rooms and building sand castles. Sandy and Li worked on thier tans and then we showered for the helicopter island tour we signed up for. It was amazing, we stopped at one cliff to take photos of the view and I found a tattered map in the brush, as well as a large ant hill-yikes!

Well, I'm off to celebrate some sunny days with my friends Sandy and Li at Kono Resort in the West Simidies Isles. I can't wait, massages, beaches and ocean breezes.

Setting Up Shop

I am now a full time florist with a small section of Grex's shop devoted to my flowers. I recieve a salary for now and he gets the profits, but eventually I want to change our contract and have some profit sharing of my items written in, but since he's providing the equiptment and the materials, it doesn't make sense. Besides, it allows me time at home to work on my shop...I've been dabbling with pottery, nothing fancy, mostly plates and the occasional crooked vase :) The new house will have a smaller studio, so I might get rid of the pottery will and focus on my plants and perhaps a fish or two.

Women Weekend

I am visiting Tiki Island with Sandy and Li, I am so excited! I hope that we can meet some new sims and learn more about the culture. I sent my family another update-hopefully they will see it. I miss them and I miss the big hood, but I am getting used to small hood living.
There's some new technology so my old job is obsolete, and I am working on my other love-arranging flowers and making pottery in my spare time. The twins are growing up pretty well, they are a bit needy, but then again once they get older they can fend for themselves.

A Date

I want for Johan and I to go out on a date soon, for some mommy and daddy time. Right now the twins are taking the bulk of our attention. I've taken some maternity leave to stay home with them, at least until they become toddlers. Then I am going to enroll them in the new daycare opening up. After then, well they'll attend school with thier father...I wish we had our own home. What happens when Johan retires?

Tired Cranky

Bloated and Nausated. No one said pregnancy would be this way. I seem to always be napping and eating. Johan has started preparing some healthy vegan meals and freezing them for me so I don't have to cook. Thank goodness, sometimes I felt as though I would strave to death!
I am going to a baby shower this next simday-I need to buy gifts for the other pregnant women. Ooo, I wonder if I'll still be pregnant-I've been having pains.

Clocking In

Johan wants me to cut back on working, but I can't help it. I fear that we will need the money for some sort of distaster later. I can see what he means since I work full time as cashier at the Farmer's Market and then I work on the weekends creating flower arrangements to sell at the market as well and then there's the hope that the cats will breed and we can sell those kittens. I guess I should cut back...but what?

Crazy Cats

With two cats running about the house, I wonder how much room there will be for the children and kittens if the cats breed. I want them to, but you can't rush these things. We're trying to allow them time to get to know each other and us, and maybe they'll breed and we'll have kittens that we can sell to the other residents. That would bring in some money...I wonder what will happen once Johan's tenure as teacher is up? Thankfully he gets to decide that, but what about our children? They will have no home. Our cats won't have a home either! Well, I won't think about that. Instead I am so excited about seeing my family again soon. I hope I remember to take lots of photos, I would love to print some snapshots for the wall once I return.

Floral Design

I now work at the Farmer's Market. I am a cashier and the owner lets me sell my flowers in the market. I get $40 for Daisy bouquets, $50 for Wildflower Bouquets, $65 for Tulip Bouquets, $70 for Mixed Flower Bouquets and $100 for Rose Bouquets. I also offer my services as a floral designer for weddings and special events and I do landscaping design as well.

The MAXIS scientists annouced a fanstatic new deal that will soon come to hoods all across the nation-how will it affect us?

The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon and wedding was so nice and perfect for us. We stayed a few days at Kimikura, enjoying the...well, the hotel. I manage to meditate and it felt as if everything was lifted off my shoulders, I was light as a bird. I couldn't help blurting the news of our marriage to anysim that would listen.

Going Well

The shop is going well-many customers buy plants and flowers. I even had a celebrity stop by. Amata Forrester-Miller (local actress, model and travel show host) stopped by and picked up a large plant and some smaller flower arrangements. She said that her yard was of little use to her and she wants me to come and take a look at it. This may mean a big landscaping job!

Seasonal

Trying my hand at making seasonal arrangements-for the fall preparing for roses and wildflowers. Business is going well, Johan and I are preparing for our destination wedding. My gown is complete and so is his outfit for the wedding. We will marry in the rainforest of Tiki Island. I am excited.
