Coloring Within the Lines, 2012

Havar, fall, 2012
Principal: Ilila Peterson; Primary Teacher K & 1: Jasmine Frankson; Primary Teacher 2 & 3: Henry Mendenhall; Primary Teacher 4-6: Rosemarie Miller

Primary Students: Breckin Grey and Esther Dawson are in 5th grade; Chase Dawson, Amyra Dawson, Jennifer Kent, Jessica Kent, Lara Grey and Matt Sweeny are in 4th grade; Lilly Ana McMillian, Alia Shae Wilsonoff, and Udar Shazad are in 3rd grade; Ana Rayne Wilsonoff, Jeremy Kent, Lora McMillian, Indira Grey and Craig Smith are in 2nd grade; Jacob Carr, Richmond Grey, Lesia McMillian, Olivia Humphrey and Christopher Smith are in 1st grade; Abigal Carr, Vivienne Humphrey and Robin Wren are in kindergarten

Another new school year meant more students, thankfully a lot less than last simyear.

Jasmine was doing a great job with her class, even though it was large.

She kept the children occupied with learning and exploring.

Henry had his hands full as well, especially keeping an eye on Udar and how he was coping with his mother's death. Udar remained quiet and his grades were not changing, but Henry noticed a difference in the young boy's artwork. He seemed to draw a lot more sad faces in his pictures.

Rosemarie's class was exploring the life cycle of plants. After reading about plants and seeing them in magazines,

the students had a chance to work in the school's garden with some hands on opportunities.

The most exciting bit of news was the Sports & Field Day.

All day the students would be outside, doing various activities from catch competitions,

to trying out an obstacle course that the local military donated for the day.

Some of the children were determined to do well on the course,

in spite of their physical limitations.

Then basketball player, Benjamin Endeavour, stopped by to lead a quick exercise class.

The children loved him and he enjoyed the experience as well.

  1. The sports day was so cute! All the kids (bar one!) in their soccer uniforms were adorable.

I'm so glad Udar's teachers are keeping an eye on him. This is such a delicate time for him, the poor boy.

    1. LOL, I really need to find more gym clothes for my children. Udar has been really quiet about his mother's death and he's crying a lot, which breaks my heart. Thanks for reading and commenting.

  2. Oh, also, I don't know if it looks the same for everyone but I can only see about three quarters of each of these pics, unless I open the pics in a new tab. In the last one, for example, I can only see Benjamin's hand but if I open it up, I can see almost his whole body.

    1. Not sure why that is happening for you. I went back and changed the photo size, so hopefully the photos will show up better.

  3. The Sports & Field Day is such a cute idea! And MTS has some nice athletic wear for kids. I use these: http://modthesims.info/d/275293

Poor Udar, that's such a tough situation for a kid!

  4. I always love reading about your kidlets. I really feel bad for Udar, though. It must be so hard for someone his age having to deal with losing a parent.

(I just had a thought: Zareb zan-Ace in KS is about the same age as Udar, and everyone else there is either at least six years older or at least five years younger than him. Needless to say, he's a very lonely kid. If the two of them got in touch with each other somehow, do you think that would help or make things worse? If it wouldn't help, I think Zareb is getting a puppy :) )

By the way, loved the Sports & Field Day pics. (But... in that first one of the obstacle course, is that wire thing going through his head?!)

  5. Poor Udar! That's sad. Otherwise it was a fun update, the sports and field day with the military loan and the basketball player! That is such a fun idea for the students.

  7. Poor Udar, it is nice that his teachers are looking out for him and making sure that he is adjusting well.

I know that you said there are fewer student this year but wow (I probably say that every school update). I don't know how you do it.

    1. Lol, I only bring them in groups at a time for classroom shots, then all the kiddos for the group photo shot and lunch and recess, otherwise way too many. Thanks for reading and commenting.
