Growing Pains

All Faith talks about is this recording contract, I must admit, it is a nice thing for her, especially since the studio is flying the entire family out for recording, so we have a free vacation! At least her head is straight, she wants to lock the money into the bank and gain some interest so she can buy a condo on an island.

Working

This historical project is a heavy load. Thank goodness there are so many volunteers to help out. I've gotten several old photos, some from the TS1 days. Makes me wish I knew more about my family tree, but we left Kimikura when I was a toddler. I know that my grandparents are still alive and well in Kimikura-I miss them especially since I was able to reconnect with them during our honeymoon. I think I'll convince Tobi to take a night out on the town with me.

Election Time

The honeymoon was short since elections are so close. No sim is running against me, but I still must make sure that the residents are behind me. I've been calling neighbors and talking to them in thr street, trying to pick thier brain and let them know I care.

It's been hard to think about anything else right now with E-Day so close.

Counting Days

I have been counting the days until I can join my love, until then I am enjoying my grandchildren and son. They are growing so fast, I am sad that I will not see them graduate, but then again, how many grandparents have that opportunity?

Bill...What Happened

It started off as an innocent hug from my best friend, Bill...then...I looked at him and his shiny red hair and bright eyes. Yikes! I think I was smittened! (As mother likes to say). What happened!

wowza!

Wowza!!! Jadhira and I went shopping for some lingerie for her, she feels that she needs to spice things up. Well, at the store, she asked me for help with a certain piece...and well, let's say, I wasn't much help ^_^ I love my wife! Wowza!

Proud Papa

Proud papa! That's me! Two healthy babies joined our family and I can't believe that I'm a father! I must work even harder now to provide for my family with the little ones now here.

Night Club

Ok-I've thought more and more about the lack of entertainment options and decided to utilize the space above CupaJava by installing a nightclub. Only open on nights and weekends, the club will have a DJ booth, dance floor and maybe a bar-or two. Mom gave me some of the insurance money to build the nightclub. I think it's a good investment and lots of sims will visit...I hope.

Celebrating

Li got a contract for her first book. We stayed in and had champagne and fruit and...well, other things :)

Our anniversary is coming up and I've been getting the notion that we need to expand our family. I don't know how to bring it up to Li, but I will soon. The spare bedroom is sitting there waiting for a crib and the pitter patter of tiny feet.

Honeymoon

Fiona and I just returned from our honeymoon and what a time we had! We went to Schwiztcher Mountains for a few simdays and enjoyed the cold wintery weather there-don't know why we chose there since winter is just simdays away here, but Fiona really wanted to try skiing.

Well, there wasn't any snow yet, so no skiing, but on the resort was this strange striped tree and it reminded me of the legend I heard in college about a hidden treasure beneath the stripes of the mountain. I asked the resort for permission to dig and guess what? Yep, I broke a pipe! But not in vain, for I found not only several artifacts including ancient pottery from the 11th Age, but also a chest full of golden simoleans. We had everything appraised and made lots of simoleans-we only sold the chest of gold and a few trinkets, but we kept the vase for the living room.

Ok, here are photos!

I'm a Mom!

I am a mother..of twins! Which isn't a surprise since I am a twin, Grex is a twin and mother is a twin. We named the babies Byrant (after my grandfather-Byrant Pierce) and Annie (Grex chose that name).
Now, we have diapers and feedings to do.

Party

I hosted the baby shower for three women and gave them gifts as well. It was fun and hopefully it will help my campaign a little bit. I am not too worried since I have a lot of experience-not with politics, but with the community aspect-and I am very involved. But we shall see, there are speeches soon, so I must prepare.

Musical Talents

The girls did well at the service, though Susie could stand to practice a bit more...maybe we should invest in a piano for her, but her teen birthday is almost here, so I'll see if she desires a piano at that time. Harvis is...well, Harvis. While Susie loves flowers and music and dancing...Harvis tends to be more serious, staring at the stars and talking about aliens all the time. I worry about him.

Twins

Wow! We were not expecting this at all! TWINS! Little Myra was born first (in my arms), followed by Naraj (in Jadhira's arms). Wow.

Puppies

The dogs had puppies, only two of them, but I managed to sell them both. Mrs. Herendez brought one and Bill brought the other one. Mr. Grey said that if they have more puppies, he would like one for his farm.

I gotta practice for my recording, we did the photo shoot and the CD will be released soon!

Explorers

I am the Explorer Leader! Explorers is an organization for children/teens with the aim of supporting them in their physical, mental and spiritual development, so that they may play constructive roles in society.

We're having our first meeting at Celebration Park, I will be discuss a camping trip to Schatazweitzier Mountain and handing out uniforms and answering questions.

I can't wait, we're going to enjoy hiking, birdwatching, insect collecting and more!

Skiing?

The boys want to go skiing...where did they even find about about the concept of skiing!?!? I told them that winter will soon be here and they can ski all they want...in the backyard!

Babies

The babies are finally here, poor Ginger had been walking around with the largest belly and cravings for cheesecake and chips and dip platters. Thankfully those days are behind her...for the moment.

I am a grandmother, Byrant and Annie, such lovely babies.

It Finally Came

Finally the changes to the will arrived. I know, I know...I just wanted to make sure things would go according to plan, you can never be too prepared.

Workn Noze

I've been workn on my book, but with all the noze in the houze-its hard. My father-n-law died, so we will have his wake on the nextz simday. Si'Enya iz a big girl now and startn schol soon. Too bad...her birfday wazn't the bezt. While her grandfather lay dying she was becomn older.

Puppy!

I brought a puppy from my friend Faith. Yea, we didn't really need a puppy, but when she showed me the puppy and said how she's looking for a home for it, I couldn't help myself. I forked over the cash and picked up the little one. Maybe now she will notice me as more than a friend.

Welcome Grace Elise!

We had our first child, a daughter named Grace Elise. She is so precious, I can't help but stare at her all day. Mom and Dad are still visiting the other siblings but they'll be home soon.

Blessed Harvest

The service went well and a nice crowd showed, both of the girls played and did rather well. In fact, Faith was offered a recording contract due to her playing. Nicole and I agreed to let her persue it since opportunities for violinists to record CDs are not very often.

Interview

I managed to convince Tatiana Garris-Vanderburg to do an interview with me for the Apple Valley News. We played a few rounds of cards-which I made sure not to win too much money from her. You'll have to just wait to read about the interview in the paper. She and her husband are sweet people, but I wonder why they keep returning to this small place?

Time Alone

I've managed to get some time alone-which is rare. Bewteen cooking and cleaning at home, managing the Homemaker's Society and visiting with friends, I barely have a moment to simply enjoy my own company and think or ponder my life and it's direction.

Well, I was able to do just that and enjoy some yummy desserts at CupaJava when I did a secret review for the paper. I need some new clothes, it's getting cooler-in fact, the boys need new clothing as well. I need to go shopping.

Training

I've been trying to train Praise-but I've given up, instead I had Praise and Prayer breed-so maybe they'll be puppies soon and we can sell them!

Smart Kid

My son is smart and all he wants to do is play sports all day. I mean, we have a telescope and he discovered a new star-named Verde53-he's at the top of his class in school, and yet he wants to spend all his free time throwing a football with that girl from down the street.

A Contract!

WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! I was-no-I AM signed to SiMusic Records for my debut CD!!!!!!!!!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! So exciting!
Ok, I played for the Blessed Harvest Celebration Service at church and I guess word got around and then Fiorenza Pentragnani called me and had me play over the phone. She is flying me and my family to Bottom Beach to sign a contract!!! Awesome! A vacation and a contract all in one!

Education Director Note: Extracurriculars and Level III

Johan Dawson Shazad

First-Secondary Level III is no longer an option. Teens not pursuing higher education are free to do what they wish with the remaining four simdays until they become adults. This includes finding jobs, traveling or doing independent study at home.

Extracurriculars!
Got the SimExplorers extracurricular approved. We have an Explorer Leader, Julio Wilsonoff; uniforms (children and teen sizes) are being made and will be delivered soon and we have a few children enrolled. Julio will host the first meeting at Celebration Park, according to his agenda, they will be discussing a camping trip to Schwinster (spelling?) Mountains and handing out uniforms. I'm supposed to check in periodically with the group, but he basically runs it.

Yearbook was also approved as an extracurricular. Only teens are allowed to work on it. They will take various photos throughout the simweek and complie the book. Students will have the opportunity to buy one every simweek. Antonio Herendez has agreed to help the students with thier photos.

Swim Team was approved. Jorge Dawson has agreed to coach it. Students compete in meets everyweekend and train throughout the week.

Finally Su Hoga Su was approved. The honor society is for teens only (A/B students) and they participate in community service. I am the leader of this club for now.

Archives/Technology: Website Work

Li Yoo Sweeny

I've been reading comments and suggestions about the site's navigation and doing research on how to make the blogs easier to find and navigate. I believe I have a system, so it will be unveiled soon. Articles will be linked from the home page for quicker access and I will also be taking the articles from the old website and putting them in a blog type format-since the pop up ads have been annoying to visitors.

Continue to leave comments on how the site can be better or what's working!

Economic Times

With the new media sale, things are looking well for Apple Valley. There's more simoleans for each family it seems. Every resident prospers...but for how long? I've seen this cycle before, prosperity and then disaster-that's what happened before the flood. Li says I'm being silly, but what if something bad happens-like another storm.

Babies

Preparing for the 1st set of baby dedications on the island. I've talk with Johan about it, I need to get my speech prepared. After the Shazad's, the Grey's and then the Dawson's, not to mention the Wilsonoff's-whew! Lots of babies being born!

Insurance

The insurance company called and sent a check over. Darrel left us pretty well. He provided enough simoleans for the girls to worry only about half of thier tuition cost for higher education (if they go to PAG) and he left me a large sum, which I will be passing along to Sazo to go towards CupaJava.

I must make changes to my will and insurance and start spending more time with my son...before it's my time to go.

Education Director Note: AVA Page

Johan Dawson Shazad
We've been granted webspace! Yes! Now AVA holds a spot in simnation. I've been working on the page. This has required me to think about what information should be on the page and how to present it. This is different from PAG-since community parents and students will check the webpage for information.

Our Wedding

We got some amazing shots of our wedding-thanks to our photographer, Antonio. I can't wait to get the prints on the walls in the house.

Hot Husband

My husband is the talk of the hood. I hear it everywhere I go-"Tobi Sweeny is soooo cute!" or "Wow, he's hot."

Yes, my husband is hot. I admit it-I tell him so each day. Not only is he attractive, but fun. Only he would convince me to play in the leaves-in my underwear!

Loan?

Been seriously thinking about a loan. We had enough simoleans to build an addition to the house, but now we need funds to run the businesses. We can't run a business without inventory! Agh! Soon the baby (or babies since Julio is a twin and dad is a twin) will be here.
