Harvesting Young Minds

Havar 2000What a busy month it's been. The new school opened to much fanfare. I am really close to hiring Jesse Kent for the position of primary teacher as student enrollment has increased exponentially. My twins have turned 5 as well as three other children in the neighborhood, making the kindergarten class five little sims. Two third graders, two junior high students and four high school students round out enrollment to 13 sims.

The new school has two buildings, primary and secondary. The primary building serves grades K-5 on the lower level and grades 6-8 on the upper level. There is a small cafeteria in thier building as well as a small playground. Next to it is the secondary building for grades 9-12.

The new school sits behind the administration buildings, so we see a lot of the hood council president stopping by. I have to give my report of the upcoming graduation ceremony for the two seniors as well as the happenings at Pierce University. Besides lectures to the students and a few hands on classes, I do not spend much time devoted to AVA, hopefully Jesse will eventually become the administrator.

Finally Moving

We'll be moving soon...again. We just moved into our new home when the hood council annouced that all families will be moving into gated communities. That's fine, it will help the residents become a bit closer, so we'll see what happens. Jadhira is eyeing the townhomes going up...I rather have a home with a yard, but if the woman of the house is unhappy then everyone is unhappy...so it looks like a townhome we shall be getting.

Glowing Knowledge

Our children almost seem to glow with thier knowledge. Both are mastering simlish and I've started teaching Myra the Urdish language (Jadhira's ancestor's native tongue). I want my little girl to be able to talk with most of simnation, so we're surrounding them with multi-lingual toys and videos...even if Jadhira and I can't understand them, I want our children to be able to speak lots of languages and to ace the skill exams...so we're starting early. Hey, the extra scholarship money will come in handy and maybe, just maybe they'll enter FENSA one simday.

Family Reading Nights

Jadhira and I decided to start a family reading night for the twins. We're reading books to them so that they can be exposed to as much as possible since a lot of educational opportunities in life are made through exposures to different things. Right now we are reading "Adventures of Clayburn, the Cuddly Stuffed Bear"

Birthdays

The twins celebrated thier birthday this past simday. Jadhira gifted each with a small token from her vacation and we all ate chocolate organic cake. I must say, they inherited my mouth to say the least. Naraj looks just like me except with Jadhira's coloring and hair color and eye color. Myra looks like her mother but with my coloring. We shall see how they grow into thier features.

Published Author

My article was published on Simmerville's website! I am very excited to say the least. The fee was quite small, but nevertheless it is my entrance into the publishing world. Perhaps I can do another article for them in the future...hmmm, what?

Instructing

I've decided to try some new teaching methods and have small group discussions instead of some traditional classroom methods. It seems to be working. I sat with the two newest students (there are now eight students enrolled in the school) and we discussed different logical arguements in chosing candy (it has to be relevent). The school is doing well, I am petitioning for a raise and the candidate for hood council president, Fiona Kent, donated a piano to the school. She said that she loves music and thought it was a shame that the students didn't have much of a choice when it came to musical equiptment.

wowza!

Wowza!!! Jadhira and I went shopping for some lingerie for her, she feels that she needs to spice things up. Well, at the store, she asked me for help with a certain piece...and well, let's say, I wasn't much help ^_^ I love my wife! Wowza!

Twins

Wow! We were not expecting this at all! TWINS! Little Myra was born first (in my arms), followed by Naraj (in Jadhira's arms). Wow.

Some Relaxation

I suggested that Jadhira and I invite two of our friends and go out, perhaps even Grex and Ginger. They're pregnant as well (and about to give birth as well) and they could meet us here at the house for tea and tofu burgers perhaps. I think Jadhira needs to socialize a bit more. Yes, we did just return from a trip to visit her family, but she's still been rather quiet since our return. I wonder if she is still homesick?
We're waiting for our photos to develop from the trip, so we'll see how everything turned out.

So tired

Wow, six restless children is harder than I thought. I wonder how our child will be? Will he or she be very active and climbing up the walls and terrorizing the cats? Will they be smart? Will they want to eat dirt during recess? Glue the seats in the toliet? *sigh* I need to go to bed.

Beautiful Mama

My wife is so beautiful. She's allowed her hair to grow out and she's looking so wonderful. She is such a beautiful woman, a beautiful mama. I am commissioning a painting to be done of her during the pregnancy so we can hang it in the nursery. I think our child should be surrounded with signs of love, since they are loved so much already and they're not here yet.

Settling In

We are settling into the new teacher's home. I spent the simday preparing lessons and going over the roll sheet, there will be six children starting school. Many have various levels of learning and I'm sure that they will all meet thier benchmarks in no time. I must be aware of lunch time and recess of course, but to be honest...it will all depend on how the first day goes.
With the long break bewteen rotations, Jadhira decided that we should visit her family in Simborough, so I'm packing up my files and reports and headed to the big city!

Married

We got married in the Temple of Lucky Blessings. We wore traditional attire and sealed it with a kiss. Very nice indeed. We didn't see much of Kimikura, we mostly stayed at the hotel and well, things that newlyweds do ^_^

School and Hobbies

With the new deal of hobbies on the horizon, the school will be even better than ever! Especially with extracurriculars for the teens. I am considering proposing that children now be able to attend the school due to the low number of teens in attendance (2).

School

School is going well-leading the students in studies each day. The hood council has decided on a salary to give me. I wonder should we persue hiring more teachers. One of my students wants to teach-he is very bright and skilled, in fact, he could skip the rest of school if he so desired. He already helps at the elementary school afterschool and sometimes helps in leading lessons.

Love is Sweet

I got promoted and am now an elementary school teacher (I teach 3rd grade). I invited Jadhira out for skating to celebrate. I believe that I fell in love with her then. Her eyes and her hair and her smile. Everything was beautiful and the birds were singing. Wonderful! I wonder what the next step will be...that day we woohoo'd everywhere! The car! The photo booth! Everywhere and lots of times. At the end of our date we were so tired! But happy!
