The Man Behind the President

Patar 2000 Many sims wonder what it's like being the husband of a powerful hood council president. I suppose it's the same as being the husband of any woman. I support her projects, co-host events with her and make sure that the home life is comfortable and stress-free.

I no longer have my job with Blossom Salon as it closed down, so I'm taking the year off. Next year I plan on looking for work, though there isn't a rush. We have plenty of simoleans and Fiona's salary also takes care of the bills, but soon Bill will enter university and Veronika will start school and who knows...we might have another child.

I've been considering entering into the law field or even education. There's an opening at the school for a primary teacher. That sounds interesting...I'm not sure if I have the patience for it, but Fiona says that I would be perfect for the job. So I'll apply for the position, it's settled.

We never found a sim to answer our ad as a personal assistant, so we hired a butler. Thankfully he takes care of everything. Cleaning, light cooking, caring for Veronika, everything! He frees up a lot of time for me to keep in fit and help Fiona with her scheduling and duties. I guess behind every hood council president is a spouse helping them out.

Changes...Again

I have a new job...again. I am a massuese again with the Blossom Salon and Fiona has been busy with the new hood council. Bill is being closely guarded and barely leaves the house and construction is ongoing on the basement apartment for the PA whenever we hire the sim. Fiona has been itching to expand the kitchen, but I think it's just nesting instincts...nothing is wrong with the kitchen.

Our Trip to Simmington Hills

After traveling from Palatial Heights, Fiona and I stopped in Simmington Hills to help with the rebuilding effort. I tried to keep the residents minds off the destruction around them with yoga classes and morning jogs. In the evenings Fiona was sing to the crowd. I didn't know she could sing so well. I knew that she loved music, especially classical and jazz, but singing. That was news to me. If she wasn't the hood council president, she could be a singer. I have a feeling that we will probably return to SH or they would visit us in the near future.

Keeping up

Fiona and I had to rush home during the tours of the hoods. Bill managed to get Faith pregnant...well, I suppose they both managed to get pregnant since it takes two. So both sets of parents sat down to discuss thier options including schooling, finances and care of the infant.
Shortly after the meeting, Faith had a miscarriage. The doctor said that miscarriages are common in teens since they often are not getting adequate nutrition and thier bodies can't handle the stress of pregnancy. It is rather unfortunate, but now the teens can carry on...is that callus?

Leaving

All good things must come to an end and our trip is one of them. After simdays of breathing fresh unpolluted air, listening to the sounds of nature instead of car engines and eating the freshest food ever, we have to pack up and return to the hood. Before leaving, we had a big campfire, roasted marshmallows and I listened as Fiona and Fredic retold stories of thier youth. It made me long for my home, Eden, and I wonder what my sister, Suz, and the rest of the family is up to. I miss them. I hope that once Fiona and I have a few kids they can come visit or better yet, move to AV. But Suz has her own life and it might just mean miles away from her brother, just like Fiona and Fredic are seperated by the distance.

Fresh Air

This is what I needed! Some fresh air, fresh fish and good company. Fredic is a great guy to hang around, we both enjoy the outdoors and working out. We've even traded secrets on our personal muscle toning tips. Fiona isn't a fan of the great outdoors, so we have pretty much left her to her own devices while we fish and hike and enjoy nature. I love it, the strain of my muscles as I carry a heavy backpack up the mountain and the reward of the clifftop view and birds all around. Wonderful!

Spending Time with my wife and family

I managed to come along with Fiona on her tour of hoods for the quest of interhood connections. It's a bit strange being the spouse of a political figure, I don't mind supporting her in her role, in fact I perfer it. Something about seeing her in front of crowds rallying them to some goal, listening to her goals, ambitions and dreams concerning the hood and helping her with the blueprint, yea, it's a lot different from my life on the force, but I wouldn't trade it.
Note: We're trying for a baby, so wish us luck!

Kitchen Reduex

I swear, this house changes so much. Fiona re-did the kitchen, which is ok, but then again, it's only a kitchen. Work is going well, Antonio is talking about closing the salon and massage parlor and making me the manager and sales assistant and having Sandy manage the register. That would be nice, especially since it means more money, not that we really need it.

Hot Wife

Wow! I don't think I'll ever get enough of seeing my wife. She is the hottest woman on the island if you ask me! Thank goodness! I'm so lucky!

Honeymoon

Fiona and I just returned from our honeymoon and what a time we had! We went to Schwiztcher Mountains for a few simdays and enjoyed the cold wintery weather there-don't know why we chose there since winter is just simdays away here, but Fiona really wanted to try skiing.

Well, there wasn't any snow yet, so no skiing, but on the resort was this strange striped tree and it reminded me of the legend I heard in college about a hidden treasure beneath the stripes of the mountain. I asked the resort for permission to dig and guess what? Yep, I broke a pipe! But not in vain, for I found not only several artifacts including ancient pottery from the 11th Age, but also a chest full of golden simoleans. We had everything appraised and made lots of simoleans-we only sold the chest of gold and a few trinkets, but we kept the vase for the living room.

Ok, here are photos!

Growth

Bill has grown up. Quite a shock to me. Fiona and I both want another child, but is it too soon? I'll see how things go.

New Friends

I am adjusting to the neighborhood quite nicely. I was invited to Tobi Sweeny's house for lunch (I think this was a result of my mother-in-law's urging). The current security director asked my opinion about security-since I held a law enforcement job in Eden and we even chatted about other things-you know, life-the weather-how peaceful and dull (in concern to crime) the island is. That's the double edged sword, on one hand you want a crime free hood, but it is very boring when it's like that.

New Family, New Home

This is my first entry since immigrating to Apple Valley. After I immigrated there was a huge storm and flooding, but things are better now and we are settled in our new home. Bill is still a bit nervous about the new hood, but I think once he goes to school, he will feel much better. There are other children his age here and of course, once Fiona and I marry we will add to our family and Bill will have a little sibling. I wonder if he will ever want to find his birth parents?

My life is different as well, I no longer work in law enforcement, instead I give massages at The Blossom Salon. Maybe my boss will send me to Kimikura to learn a new massage technique. That would be nice. I've met some interesting sims, including Hazel Starr Grey. She attended the welcoming ceremony before she jetted off to Bottom Beach.

I should email my family and see how they're doing. The website has been down, so I hope everything is ok.
