When the Bell Rings, 2020

Hapar, spring, 2020

Principal: Ilila Peterson; Secondary Teacher: Simlish & History: Jesse Kent; Secondary Teacher: Math & Science: Krissy Thorn
Secondary Students: Amyra Dawson, Chase Dawson, Lara Grey, Jennifer Kent and Jessica Kent are in 12th grade; Lilly Ana McMillian, Udar Shazad, Emilene Wilsonoff, and Alia Shae Wilsonoff-Sagacious are in 11th grade; Indira Grey, Jeremy Kent, and Lora McMillian are in 10th grade; Richmond Grey, Jacob Carr, Olivia Humphrey and Robin Wren are in 9th grade; Lesia McMillian, Abigal Carr, Vivenne Humphrey is in 8th grade; Ari Wilsonoff-Sagacious  and Ava Wilsonoff-Sagacious are in 7th grade

It's prom time for the students at Apple Valley Academy Secondary School.

Ilila always found this time of year interesting was it was more obvious who was dating whom...or wasn't dating.

After gossiping with the other teachers she found out that Chase Dawson and Jennifer Kent were going steady.

It seemed like an odd couple, but she had noticed that Chase seemed a bit more grounded and focused during lessons over the past few weeks. Not enough to gain admission to Pierce University, but enough to earn a small scholarship.

Amyra came to the event either solo or with two college guys that worked at the college radio station she interned with, they still couldn't tell.

Jessica Kent and Gerald Frankson, a former student, were going steady, which was scandalous for the teens and made Jennifer seem like a real grown up woman to be dating a guy that was able to rent an apartment alone.

Apparently they met through her culinary instructor at WilTech over the summer.

Lara Grey and Matt Sweeny were also going steady which would probably be awkward for their parents

considering the rumors that their parents had an affair with each other.

Ilila also liked seeing those shy sims make moves, like when Jacob reached out to hold Olivia's hand during the last song.

She especially liked when prom was over.

=====

Amyra Dawson will be attending the University of Apple Valley. She received the Bain-Gordon Communication Fellowship which will cover half of her tuition because she is majoring in journalism. She also received the SimCity Scholar's Grant for §1000 and a laptop; and the Young Entrepreneurs Award for §750 and one simyear internship with local business. Amyra has decided to intern this summer with the local radio station.

Chase Dawson will be attending the University of Apple Valley. He received the Kim Metro Prize For Hygienics for §750.

Lara Grey has graduated, dyed her hair to stand out in the sea of blond wannabe actresses and is working as a screen test stand in until she gets her big break into the acting world.

Jennifer Kent has graduated as co-valedictorian and will be attending Pierce University. She received the half-tuition Dean's Merit grant (and full Provost grant to UAV); SimCity Scholar's Grant for §1000 and a laptop; the Young Entrepreneurs Award for §750 and one simyear internship with the local magazine, Style; and the Quigley Visual Arts Grant which will cover the remaining half of her tuition because she is majoring in visual arts with a concentration in creative writing.

Jessica Kent has graduated as co-valedictorian and will be attending Pierce University. She received the half-tuition Dean's Merit grant (and full Provost grant to UAV); SimCity Scholar's Grant for §1000 and a laptop; the Young Entrepreneurs Award for §750 and one simyear internship with the local restaurant, Orga; and the London Culinary Arts Grant which will cover the remaining half of her tuition because she is majoring in culinary arts.

Another look at the co-valedictorians

Matt Sweeny will be attending the University of Apple Valley.

  1. Wow, you have a lot of students in the secondary school! It must be a pretty intense simming session when you play the school.

I love how you have Prom for the kids.

    1. I have quite a few, sometimes when I play the school updates, I only teleport half the students in at a time, or I do a special event like this prom. I have stopped taking class photos each simyear-I always forget a sim or my game crashes. Thanks for reading and commenting

    1. I am very excited to see what comes next. Already one couple has spun matching engagement wants which refuse to roll away. At first I was going to ignore them, but now I think that I may indulge them since there were a few married couples at my university after freshman year. Thanks for reading and commenting

  3. Congratulations graduates! And yay for Jennifer and Jessica graduating as co-valedictorians, they've been working towards that for a long time. Jacob and Olivia are really sweet together too. I look forward to seeing what all of them do now they're all grown up :)

    1. I can't wait to play their households next to see what Jacob and Olivia will be up to...or at least see them on some community lots. They seem like the type of couple to take things slow, even without interference from Uncle Anthony :) Thanks for reading and commenting

  4. So much teen romance going on in Apple Valley at the prom! That's always a lot of fun to read about. All your new YAs are looking great too. How many students will you have next time you play uni?

    1. My uni students are growing rapidly. I had to build a new dorm for UAV to handle overflow-since I limit my dorms to 4-6 rooms since they are on tiny lots. I might look at doing a 8 room dorm for UAV since it's an urban campus. My next uni round will be 4 playable students at UAV and 2 at Pierce University. But I have graduations every year for quite a few years now. Thanks for reading and commenting
