When the Bell Rings, 2021

Hapar, spring, 2021

Principal: Ilila Peterson; Secondary Teacher: Simlish & History: Jesse Kent; Secondary Teacher: Math & Science: Krissy Thorn; Art Teacher: Veronika Kent; Music Teacher: Gretchen Humphrey; Physical Education Teacher: Verde Herendez
Secondary Students: Lilly Ana McMillian, Udar Shazad, Emilene Wilsonoff, and Alia Shae Wilsonoff-Sagacious are in 12th grade; Indira Grey, Jeremy Kent, and Lora McMillian are in 11th grade; Richmond Grey, Jacob Carr, Olivia Humphrey and Robin Wren are in 10th grade; Lesia McMillian, Abigal Carr, Vivenne Humphrey is in 9th grade; Ari Wilsonoff-Sagacious  and Ava Wilsonoff-Sagacious are in 8th grade

Ilila was hopeful that the biggest upset of her day was reminding students about the policy regarding public displays of affection after catching several students share kisses in the school.

She had a meeting later that day with the search committee to make a final recommendation for a new high school history teacher. Additionally, she needed to start her report on revising the outdated curriculum policy

When she was informed that she had two students waiting in her office, she tried to restrain the eye roll. When she heard it was Lora and Lilly Ana McMillian she took a few moments to focus on her breathing.

Lora was a unique sim.

She had the tendency to simply blurt out her thoughts without running them through a rational filter. Ilila often saw Lora in her office for some offense or the other.

The current issue at hand was that Lora apparently "blew up at Lilly Ana for no reason" when Lilly Ana was talking about her upcoming audition tomorrow. Ilila was familiar with the audition.

Lilly Ana was applying for the coveted Trevor Yates Scholarship which would cover four years of tuition, room and board. The audition process was rumored to be brutal.

"Lora, can you understand that this is a stressful time for your sister? She needs encouragement, not anger."

Lora shrugged her shoulders. "I just don't get what the big deal is all about. They would be idiots if they didn't give her the scholarship. She's a great singer, unlike when she tried modern dance."

"What did you say about me?"

"Come on, you knew that you were not a good dancer-"

"Before that-"

"Uh...you're a good singer?"

"You really think so?"

"Wow, you really are an idiot. How could you not know that you're an amazing singer?"

Ilila watched as Lilly Ana grabbed her sister in a bear hug, "That's the nicest thing you've said about me."

"Lilly Ana, you are beyond weird."

  1. Haha, Lora and Lilly Ana are a lot like me and my sister - typical siblings I guess. I'm glad they each sort of acknowledge that the other isn't that bad :)

Congrats to all the university-bound teens! They've earned a good few scholarships between them... good luck to them all with their studies!

    1. Lora has only one nice point compared to the rest of her family who are super nice and well mannered. Lora tends to be blunt and not think before talking. I think her family is only now beginning to understand that she doesn't hate them all. Thanks for reading and commenting

  2. LOL, I would love to see the staff at Sullivan's high school trying to make a rule against PDA. It's about all my teens do!

I'm glad to see Lilly Ana get her scholarship...and it's nice that her sister is supportive, even if she may have taken her time to show it! So many new YAs next year!

    1. They're powerless to stop the PDA, but they do try to keep it to a minimum...which isn't working either. LOL. Thanks for reading and commenting
