Little Family

Astute and Thomasina are so excited about "big kid" school. Clark thinks that we should buy them special backpacks for the new start, I think a new outfit will suffice, but we will see what happens. Especially with money being a little tight.

I wonder what the future holds for our family. Sometimes I wish I could see the future, look into that eye that sees beyond this simday. It's just something I like to think of when sipping coffee or during carpool.

Birthdays

The children are well...children. Astute and Thomasina celebrated thier child birthday with little fanfare. We ate cake, lots and lots of cake, they recieved presents from thier grandparents (toys and money) and we sent them to bed to prepare for school the next day.

New Job

I am a scientist by heart and nature, however Aunt Jan wants me to consider joining the staff at the Medical Centre. She said that I would be a researcher, working to publish articles and discover options in fighting illnesses. Right now I work as a field researcher (ever since I lost my teaching job). Working with the center would satisfy my need for research and I would be closer to home. I must think about it.

Standing Still

that's what time seems to be doing. We're still in the midst of summer yet many other hoods are experiencing winter already. I've been tired lately...I hope I'm not pregnant!

Dead

Astaire is dead we are now Astute's guardians more work for us with two toddlers but there isn't any other way. Thankfully they will have thier child birthdays soon, so I went shopping for a special cake for the kiddies.

Demoted!!!

I got demoted!!! How could I have been so stupid!!! I was trying so hard to be a good teacher and now this happen!!! I don't know what to do!!!

Moving AGAIN!!!

Our neighbor-Elaine Dawson-died and Astaire's wife left him. As a result Clark and I are moving in with Astaire and our nephew Astute. Thomasina will grow up with her cousin. So we're moving to the townhouse next door and probably doing some minor remodeling to make it a 3 bedroom (one bedroom for the adults and a bedroom for the kids). Thankfully we'll split the rent ($1350 for each family each simweek). Well, let me pack...again.

Stupid Scandal

I'm proud of Clark for his investigative journalism on the Brad Dawson case, now all the hood is talking about the dramatic arrest of Zaida Burrego. That woman scares me, I actually fear for Thomasina's life, since her own son left the hood in fear, what would she do if she found out Clark spearheaded the talk of looking closer at the death, well...actually he didn't, but his publicity got the whole hood talking and now there's the trial coming up as well. Wow, I bet there will be tons of reporters to cover the case.

Moving

We're moving...again. The hood council made all the residents on Fuji Court move out of any multi-family housing there. Then we could either purchase one of the new affordable homes or find housing elsewhere. That's a catch 22 since we can't own a home as long as our surname is the same as another home owner, so we need to rent...or change our surname. I think it's a stupid law, but since we have no control over it we are moving. Our application was accepted for a rental home on McIntosh Blvd, it's two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shared backyard. Clark's brother is nearby...I hate moving.

Change

Babies change life, I suppose since they are life. I'm happy now that Thomasina is out of me and I can return to work soon, I hope my job hasn't suffered and my career been derailed. I suppose we'll have to hire a nanny for the little one, unless Clark gets some days off from covering news for the paper, which I doubt. Especially since he has a new job as a correspondant with STAR. At least it's extra money coming into the house, which we'll need when we move...again.

Preperation

Clark and I are preparing for this baby to come. I visited the medical centre to look at the facilities. I want my baby born in a nice clean environment. Our upstairs neighbors have moved-well, some of them. Zaida remained behind, but I woke up in the middle of the night craving llama eggs and saw her son, daughter and his fiance sneaking into a cab. Clark is investigating the death of Mr. Dawson and I think we should move. Now! That woman scares me. Thankfully the flat below my parents is available, we should move there. We'll be close to mom and dad.

How Big Will I Grow?

I bet as big as this house? I bet bigger than the hood! I bet as big as SimNation! I bet...I bet I'm hungry...AGAIN!!!!

I'm pregnant. Great, just swell! This really throws a wrench into my career plans. Clark is estatic, naturally. He doesn't have to worry about morning sickness, some hot shot taking your spot at the lab, his body swelling to the size of a house. Pregnant! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

SUN Exchange

Clark signed us up for the SUN Exchange. Why did he do that?

So far there has not been a hood to sign up to switch with us, so maybe we won't go...although I would like to see another hood. I have never traveled outside these walls. I hear there are amazing things in other hoods-some have zombies, others have aliens of all colors, others have...sims like Zaida.
