Didn't Mean, 2014

Remar, summer, 2014
Anthony is 32, Susie is 28, Robin is 7, Starling is 5 and Palila is 4.

Anthony's summer wasn't going well at all. It started with a "mild" shock as he was showing the girls how to fly a kite...during a rain storm. Needless to say, he wouldn't be doing that again.

It continued as he was drugged through choppy waters by a run away shark he was attempting to tag. No damage was done to the shark, but Anthony suffered a broken arm.

He had to take special care while bathing to make sure the cast didn't get wet and due to the nature of his very wet job, he had to take a leave of absence.

He was at home with the girls most of the summer, enjoying lunches of greasy pizza and days playing in the sunny backyard.

It was during his leave that he came across the house, it was perfect, but it wasn't for sale.

That was until a man came out the door and Anthony expessed interest in the house. After a brief tour of the place and consulting with Susie, they moved into the home.

The move rather well,

the girls settled into their new surrounding with ease

and Susie and Anthony got used to the additional space very quickly.

Susie was promoted at work, which meant a salary increase and even a bonus.

When she started to feel sick, she had a sinking suspicion of what was going on.

"I can't go through this again," Susie wailed as she and Anthony discussed the pregnancy later that evening. "I barely made it through the postpartum depression last time. I don't want to do this again!"

She never thought that a few days later while enjoying a day off from work that the cramps would start,

they didn't stop and they were accompanied with blood.

It happened quickly, there was nothing they could do.

"I didn't mean it," she wailed to Anthony as he rubbed her shoulders. "I really didn't mean it."

Anthony knew that she didn't mean it, but he also knew that she still wasn't aware of the power of her tongue that she could speak things and make them happen-including things she didn't mean.

  1. Aw, it started out so happy with their new house and then ended so sadly with the miscarriage. Poor Susie. Poor Anthony too, but Susie especially. It might be for the better than she's not really aware of her power at the moment. She would be feeling even more guilt over the miscarriage, poor thing.

    1. You might be right, knowing that she caused it wouldn't help too much with the grieving process. Thanks for reading and commenting

  2. It must be so hard for Susie, having powers she doesn't fully understand and trying to come to terms with it. I agree with Carla that it might be better for her not knowing that she has that power, but I'm also thinking that it might be an even bigger shock if she finds out further up the line. It's a good thing Anthony understands about these things, and can support her through it all.

    1. Hmm, I don't know how she'd respond once she discovers more of her powers. Thanks for commenting and reading

  3. Broken arm, then an awesome new house, then the lose of the baby. So many ups and downs this update. Hopefully Susie will start to learn the power that she has. Are they teaching their children about their powers or are they going to wait until they get older?

    1. Anthony is teaching them slowly about their powers as it shows up. For example, Robin has already used her powers to gift her friend Ava Wilsonoff with a genie (http://applevalleyblogs.blogspot.com/2012/11/anywhere-close-2014.html) so Anthony had to explain a few things to her. For the most part, they don't fully come into their powers until their teen years. Thanks for reading and commenting

  4. I was just actually speaking with someone about being cautious of what comes from people's mouth, for it may come true.I didn't think she would lose it, but she definitely didn't seem ready for another one.I think this miscarriage will only add to the stress she is dealing with.I was rooting for them when their they moved into their new home with their lovely children, and to see it so sadly, is really unfortunate.Hopefully Anthony can recover quickly, since it's his child, too, to aid his wife.

    1. I really wanted to tap into that, the power of the tongue and how if you don't know the power of it, it can be pretty hard. It all happened so quickly that I don't think they even had a chance to tell the girls about it. I don't know how they would have handled another baby, especially Susie. I'm still surprised that they got pregnant since Anthony was fixed. Thanks for reading and commenting.
