Weekend Trip, 2015

Lovar, spring, 2015
Julio is 48, Rebecca is 45, Abel and Amanda are 20, Ana Rayne is 11; (Myra Shazad is 21)

"It's rather large..." Rebecca said as she stared up at the large structure.

"I know, but isn't it great? I never win anything, but I won this in the office raffle."

At least Ana Rayne enjoyed it

so much so that she slept soundly that night without any nightmares. Julio knew that they had to be careful with Ana Rayne. Her heart was giving them more trouble and she often had to sit out of gym class and recess at school. Medically speaking, Julio wasn't surprised. Children born as early as Ana Rayne  was often suffered problems later in life. It just seemed that Ana Rayne never recovered from her premature birth. Most sims saw the brain damage, the strange way she talked, her preference for wearing what others would consider costumes and her lack of fear. She didn't seem to understand that balancing on top of the monkey bars wasn't safe, but then again most children didn't.

The family helped Abel move out a few simweeks ago. It was bittersweet.

He had found an abandoned home that was in much need of repair.

When they saw the house, Abel and Myra fell in love with all the details and the ornate fireplace covered in grime.

Because of its state of disrepair, the hood council had a $10,000 grant available.

Abel and Myra used the grant to help with the mortgage and with some of the cleanup work.

Abel also sold a lot of the found items to raise some extra money

and now at least the bedroom and main living area were somewhat cleaned up.

The house seemed a bit emptier, but there was more room for yoga,

impromptu dances

and lingering over dinner conversations about the new Rainbow Freezer Bunny movie. Eventually, they would need to consider moving. The brownstone was much too large for them now. Three floors and a walkout basement were much too many stairs to climb daily. Four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms were much too much to keep clean. Even after turning Amanda's room into a toy crafting workshop and Abel's room in the basement into Decade's private indoor doggie room.

To celebrate having more of their house to themselves, the family decided to take a weekend trip to Hacienda Bay. Rebecca only had one thing on her mind.

Julio wanted to show Ana Rayne where her ancestors came from

and enjoy the sand,

water

and sun.

Rebecca enjoyed the sun a bit too much.

They didn't let that hamper their midnight swims,

and leisurely dinners.

They were so well rested after their trip that Julio and Rebecca brought a tour package for Abel and Myra's honeymoon gift.

  1. It's almost odd seeing Julio and Rebecca with just Ana Rayne at home now. Such a quiet house these days!

So nice to see Abel and Myra moving into their new home! I'm sure they'll be thrilled with that gift of a honeymoon too - who wouldn't be?

    1. Those two are in love with their home, I think that once Myra moves in after the wedding, they will be that couple browsing the aisles of the home improvement store ready to tackle their next project, lol. Thanks for reading and commenting.

  2. It's going to be quiet around the house now that it's just the 3 of them. I'm sure Ana Rayne will enjoy all the attention, now that she doesn't have to share anymore :)

I'm looking forward to seeing Myra and Abel in their new house, and what they do with it.

    1. Ana Rayne is...quite different. The house isn't that much quiet, she's very much a handful for various different reasons. I fin it strange that had they not had their last pregnancy, they would be empty nesters at younger than 50! Thanks for reading and commenting.

  3. It sure will be different with just Ana Rayne at home, but I love the house that Abel and Myra will be living in. I can totally see them loving their new home, and making it shine with their personality as they repair each of the rooms. The vacation looked like a nice time, outside of the horrible burn, ouch.

    1. I adore the house too. I'm experimenting with them fixing each room at a time and digging and having yard sales for extra money. I'm sure they will want children too, but not in a house under construction, so we will see how much they get done and the process, thanks for reading and commenting.
