Tour: Ray and Lydia Wilsonoff

Here is a tour of Ray and Lydia Wilsonoff's home. It's a remake of my Decaying Craftsman. I think I shared a tour earlier so this one will be quick and show the updates now that Ray's daughter, Emilene, from his affair with a teen has moved in with them. (Ray left Apple Valley after university to live in Simmington Hills. Ray and Lydia used to live in Simmington Hills before I got them back)

Living area. Lydia's favorite color is brown and Ray's favorite is blue, so I decorated the main spaces with brown, blue and red. Family photos fill the wall.

dining room and the chairs that inspired me to add red to the design palette. You can see souvenirs from their travels to Kimikura which is where Ray proposed and where they had their honeymoon.

The downstairs living area where Emilene currently sleeps. They are in the process of getting a loan to fix up a room for Emilene and Alia Shae since Emilene will be staying longer than they anticipated.

  1. I find brown and blue really tricky sometimes to combine, so I'm impressed with what a great job you've done here. The good thing about brown though is that you can use wood tones to run the colour through the whole house, which is another lovely thing about this place.

In the picture with the dining table, is that a half wall with a column or a divider object or something else? I really like the effect it gives the room.

    1. Thank you! It's taken forever to decorate their place, I decorate in spurts.

That's an half wall from MTS:

  2. I really like what you've done, especially the master bedroom; it's very cozy. So many kids in this house, I'm impressed with all the space and bedrooms! The living area and the sofa patterns are my next favorite, I like the navy on the walls in there too.

    1. I think because they're teens, it seems more roomy. I have another family in this house, but they have toddlers and it seems too small. Mostly because the toddlers are always complaining at the stairs. Thanks for reading and commenting
