Bradford is 40, Laci is 6 (Suzanna Carr is 39)
The day had finally arrived. Bradford made good on his promise not to propose in a hot tub, instead opting to pop the question after a quiet meal at the townhouse.
He was still nervous in spite of the couple's plans for marriage. It was something about getting on one knee with a diamond worth three months of your salary and the thought pops in your head-what if she says no?
She didn't say no of course and they spent a whirlwind simlonic month planning the simple backyard wedding.
The day of the wedding, Suzanna is nervous naturally. She's finally getting married. It wasn't as if she clung to the notion of marriage and children all her life. She had more important things to take care of, such as her medical career and getting her education. She wanted those things eventually, but to be honest, decent males were few and far bewteen. Suzanna Carr wasn't the type of woman to settle.
To soothe her nerves, she discusses her pregnancy with her sister-in-law who had her own babies last simlonic month.
"You can barely see your baby bump." Fiona marvels. "You said the baby is due this summer?"
Suzanna nods, "This summer."

The wedding starts with the bride and groom reciting thier own hand crafted vows.
"Where my life was dark, you have brought light."
"I pledge before this assembled company to be only yours from this day forward."
"Let us make of our two lives, one life, and let us always honor and respect each other. "
"Forever and ever."
"I do."

What would a wedding be without a reception? Bradford marvels at how all the details came together so quickly. Testament to his wife's (and sister-in-law's) ingenuity and resourcefulness. He can't help but drool over the assortment of cakes, even his daughter-thier daughter-Laci can't help herself and swipes a fingerful of icing.
"Congratulations." Jesse says pulling his big sister aside long enough to hand her a gift.
"Thanks, Jesse. You didn't have to."
"I know," he said grinning. "But I'm so thankful to have a babysitter close by."
The siblings laughed until Bill's voice shouted over the crowd.
"Now it's time for the bride and groom's first dance."
I adore Suzanne's wedding dress. Simple and elegant. Their vows were beautiful too
ReplyDelete-Heredoncove, thanks. Suzanna's wedding dress is from Javabean Dreams with MTS2 (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=301635). When I saw it, I knew it was perfect. Since they got married so quickly, I didn't have time to create a custom dress for her, but this was very much Suzanna's style.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Suzanna and Bradford!
ReplyDeleteI like throwing big weddings, but not all of my Sims get them. Some of them just don't have the personality to care about a big lavish wedding, such as Logan and Shelley Gates-Watson, and others have a tiny private ceremony because of life circumstances, like Xander and Chelsea Gates. But I really enjoyed throwing a big wedding for Zared and Carol Smith. Carol would have been fine with a small wedding, but Zared wanted everyone to know that he was pledging his love for Carol. :)
Love the wedding.
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a lovely wedding. I liked the vowes too.
ReplyDeleteI like big weddings too, and a few small ones. But I base it on each sim and what they like. Or what I think they would like based on how I see them in my game.
-Shana, some of my sims get a big wedding due to status. It wouldn't do for Fiona to have had a small wedding as the future hood council president.
ReplyDelete-Monique, thanks!
-Riverdale, too bad sims don't roll wedding wants-Want a Lavish Wedding, Want a Small Ceremony at Home. Hihi, in a way I guess they do when they roll the Throw Wedding Party want.
