Principal: Ilila Peterson; Secondary Teacher: Simlish & History: Jesse Kent; Secondary Teacher: Math & Science: Krissy Thorn
Secondary Students: Myra Shazad, Naraj Shazad, Bryant Grey, and Annie Grey are in 12th grade; Patrick Benson, Rex Mendenhall, Abel Wilsonoff, Amanda Wilsonoff and Serendipity Herendez are in 11th grade; Derek Hair, Ashlee Dawson, Veronika Kent and Laci McMillian are in the 10th grade; Gerald Frankson, Aaron Sweeny and Simora Sweeny are in the 9th grade
Annie was finishing up her research on the family histories of the Herendez and Kent families,
Myra had finished her allotment of robots for the hospital's children's ward,
Naraj was adding the final touches to his medical research paper on lasers vs scapels in the operating room
and Bryant had turned in his three photos "Views of the Valley".
Krissy continued to run her classroom with an iron fist
even though the pregnancy meant that some days she was a bit more tired and the lab experiments were a bit more draining.
Thankfully the students were usually
well behaved since science was hands on,
even if sometimes they were distracted by the new students
or the old students who suddenly looked appealing.
Ilila checked on her newest teacher, Gretchen Humphrey, the music teacher. She giggled as she saw her hold her ears to the melodious harmonies of the students. She quickly returned to her office, she had a lot of work to do. Tonight was graduation and she was also working on her proposal to separate the students into separate buildings and she was reviewing a proposal for a new university.
That evening, Ilila greeted the small crowd that arrived to support the graduating seniors.
Four teens would be leaving the high school and it was bittersweet as it was supposed to be five students standing backstage, not four. Grace Elise's presence was missed that night.
She wasn't the only sim that was missed. Johan still couldn't believe that Jadhira wasn't by his side, holding his hand and whispering to him in pride as the twins slipped backstage.
"First we have Annie Grey. Annie received the Tsang Footwork Award, Young Entrepreneurs Award, SimCity Scholar's Grant and the first ever, Interhood Connection Scholarship and will be attending Mount Brayon University in the fall."
"Bryant Grey will attend the University of Riverdale this fall and received the Interhood Alliance Grant."
"Myra Shazad, received the Tsang Footwork Award and will be attending WilTech this fall."
"Finally, Naraj Shazad, who received the Will Wright Genius Grant, Young Entrepreneurs Award, SimCity Scholar's Grant and the presitigious full tuition Dean's Merit Scholarship and will be attending Pierce University this fall."
"Congratulations to all the graduates."
----
Annie Grey is off to Mount Braynon University in Simberry Fields for the next step in her life. I'm sure she will have a blast and learn lots and the Interhood Connection Scholarship provides some financial relief to her family.
Bryant Grey will be attending the University of Riverdale in Riverdale in their two simyear Associates in Arts program.
Naraj Shazad decided to stay close to home and his family and attend Pierce University and majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-med. The full tuition Dean's Merit scholarship was a big help to his family and one of his deciding factors in choosing Pierce University.
Myra Shazad will attend WilTech and is planning on studying robotics.
How exciting! I've been dying to find out where all your seniors decided to go for college.
ReplyDeleteI somehow hadn't realised this would have been Grace Elise's graduation as well, had she lived. How terribly heartbreaking. Who knows the great things she could have gone onto? :(
I had been quite anxious as well, but I had to wait on acceptance letters from other simmers first. Yes, Grace Elise would have been there with them :( more than likely with a dance scholarship somewhere. Thanks for reading and commenting.
DeleteThat is quite sad about Grace Elise :/. Maybe I'll get off my butt and do actual graduations for my high school sims, I loved your cermony! Can't wait to see how everyone does so far away from home :)
ReplyDeleteI only do ceremonies if there are enough seniors graduating, otherwise a small blurb and photo. I can't wait to see what they get into as well, should be exciting. Thanks for commenting and reading.
DeleteHow sad it is that Grace Elise didn't get to make it to graduation. Her life had hardly begun! :(
ReplyDeleteAside from that, the ceremony was really cool! What a creative idea to show what the students are going to be doing.
Thanks, I try to make sure there are plenty of graduation photos to be hung in family homes from the event. Thanks for reading and commenting.
DeleteHow sad about Grace Elise, awful, awful. She died way too soon, hadn't even got to live as her own person yet.
ReplyDeleteThe ceremony was really great, and I love knowing where everyone is off to now!
It is sad owing that Grace Elise didn't reach her full potential. Death is hard, especially if they're young. Thanks for reading and commenting.
