- What’s you all-time favorite place in the world? (If you don’t feel comfortable giving the location, just a description). Does the spa count? LOL!
- Who is your favorite, non-sims author? Hard one, since I'm not a serial author reader, lol. It's been ages since I read a good non-academic book, lol. I do like A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Jacob Have I Loved, also Abel's Island. Yes they are children's books, but when I want to read a good book, I reach for a tried and true favorite because I don't have time to try new books and be disappointed, lol.
- When did you start playing Sims? 2001 or 2002 I think
- What is your favorite part of playing or blogging sims? The sims interacting, love looking at the relationships and their interactions with their environment. A lot more fun, and smaller, than barbies.
- What is your least favorite part of playing or blogging sims? Photo formatting, ugh
- Where do you find/get inspiration for your blog’s characters? A lot of my sims are part of a long lineage that stretches to my TS1 sims. But I have some significant inspirations like celebrities (Starr Grey=Marilyn Monroe, Alisa Crawston=Janet Jackson), a combination of strong female characters (S'Ahmisa Warwick), what society says we shouldn't be like, ancient history and legends (Anthony Wren). Most times, I get more inspiration for facets of my sims characters that allows me to flesh them a bit deeper and richer, like Ming's non-filter on her words or Bradford's fierce protection.
- What about the setting, how did you come up with the imaginary aspects of your sims’ world? My travels and my computer specs, lol. Since I have limited time to play, my goal is keep loading times short, so that limits how much detail I put into my world. But then I discovered smaller terrains and I love it. Lots of detail, not so much lag. My main hood is inspired by a small coastal island not in the tropics that has all four seasons and a big urban center yet some rural land. LOL, so essentially no where and every where.
- How did you decide to start blogging about your game? After reading Simmerville's website, I started a website and became a part of that community. So much fun! I loved, and still love, the for sim by sim world.
- Do you know any simmers in your everyday life, or just online? I haven't met any unless you count my brother and cousin who are more casual gamers.
- On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being completely), how freaked out are you when the power/internet go out and you can’t play or read or write about sims? 3 in terms of sims related, but probably more since I have to figure out how to move around young kiddos and I would be freaking out about my freezer stash for my baby. O yea, that would be about a 15. My precious milk! LOL!
- All time favorite sims moment? Being named SUN president on the Simmerville website and getting a 2003 Top Theme Site Award from SimStash for my TS1 hood

Liebster Award
I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by some pretty awesome bloggers -Carla at Sullivan, Shannon at Simdale Valley Post, Emma at Around Aleaton VT at Kulo Seeri, and Maisie at Millwood. Thank you so very much. It means a lot that I was nominated :)
Like Carla, I am going to answer the questions from each simmer separately. I'm continuing with Shannon's questions

I've always admired what you can do with such a small hood! You have to consider things I do not (with a relatively large map) and you still always make it work for your sims. They certainly never seem to be wanting for anything in Apple Valley!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I love making the hood look lived in and it's a lot easier with a smaller hood terrain.
DeleteAh Simmersville website, that was a good one. I really like that there is so much history and lineage in your hood, and find it inspiring that it goes back to TS1. I played an entirely different game back then, like my own family, which I can't even imagine playing that way now.
ReplyDeleteI miss Simmerville, but now with so many different sim games it's hard to get such a community going again. So thankful for the TS2 community :)
