University Fair Success
Cameron Smith

Local teens were treated to the first ever university fair.  The university fair was large with several schools in attendance. Many teens said that they were unaware that there were so many options available to them. That was one of the goals of Educational Direction, Ilila Peterson. "We need to expose our youth to other universities and hoods, there are several educational options."

Ms.Peterson was especially pleased because of the recent grant the school won. The grant would allow her to pay for each teen to visit up to two interhood universities. Several teens have utilized the grant to travel to  Meade College in Laurel Crossing;  Mount Braynon University in Simberry Fields and  University of Rockport (URock) in Laurel Crossing

Students are encouraged to view the newly renovated Pierce University website for more details about interhood options.

Apple Festival

Local art prodigy, Veronika Kent, has gone from coast to coast with her art. After studying abroad in Deux-Sèvres, she was given the opportunity to host an art showing at Fawn Thayer's art galleryin New Eden. The showing was a huge success.

"I had a great time, I was able to visit with extended family and see where my aunt and father spent time growing up. The art show was a lot of fun, I learned so much from Ms. Thayer as well, she's really nice. I hope I can do it again soon."

With her growing talent, there is no doubt that she will continue to show her work across Simnation.
