"I still can't believe that you're engaged," Ming said shaking her head. "Your room isn't even the cursed room."

S'Ahmisa laughed and the light hit the glittering stone on her hand. She couldn't help but smile as she remembered their date.

It had started with them meeting at the pier,

taking a few photos

and then enjoying dinner.

Then they walked down to the beach,

where Rashid proposed.

It wasn't a surprise since they had been talking about getting married since they started dating again, but it was a sweet proposal nevertheless.

"Have you decided a date?"

"Probably sometime next summer or the summer after. We still have plenty of time. It's going to be a big wedding, like Alisa Crawston's wedding. Think bachelorette party on the beach, pre-wedding pampering in Kimikura and perhaps a three day wedding with traditional kimikurian elements and of course a big reception dance party."

"Sounds like a big wedding to me."

While S'Ahmisa was busy planning her wedding, Si'Enya was busy with graduate school. She was taking a summer class and spent most of her time writing a research paper for the class.

When not busy with school, she was spending time with Trevor.

He had finished his solo album and was performing in other hoods such as Port Manteau for their music festival. They were still going strong and he was thinking about buying his own house soon. He had plenty of money for it, with his movie wrapping up and of course his music royalties. He never had much time to look at real estate and kept postponing the decision.

Other days she would eat an early dinner with Ming before heading out to the lab for her research assistantship. Ming had just gotten a promotion to Sr. Manager in her department which meant lots of hobnobbing with the big bosses, including a golf tournament in which she earned a $5000 bonus thanks to some quick thinking.

She would return home late at night after scrubbing bottles and running experiments.

It was one of those nights that she heard the sounds. The flushing toilet and the running shower. She waited outside the bathroom door until the occupant came out.

"Are you ok?"

S'Ahmisa was startled by her sister and her question. She shook her head as she slumped on the couch.

Si'Enya listened patiently as her sister detailed everything. She knew that it would work out, they were Warwicks, things always worked out.

The next day, Rashid came over and S'Ahmisa blurted the news.

"I'm pregnant," she said as soon as they sat down.

"Really? Wha-when?"

"I think the night we got engaged."

"Well, cutie. What do you want to do? I guess we need to find a place to live,"

"I want to get married first, before the baby comes."

"Really? I wouldn't have guess that considering..."

"Considering my parents had me before they married. Well, my parents aren't in politics. We need to get married, soon."

"Soon is just fine with me."

Well, their wedding was planned for 2015, but looks like they'll have a good old fashioned shotgun wedding :P

Honestly, I'm surprised it took this long for them to have an oppsie, but of course they had to have one right as I was planning a big elaborate wedding for them. Now I need to rush and recolor and find objects for a shotgun wedding. Simmies sometimes they drive you crazy!
