Sharing the Blankets, Part 2, 2015

Remar, summer, 2015
Ming Wuu is 29; Si'Enya Warwick is 23; Elphy Mendenhall is 22

"Important roommate meeting?" Elphy asked.

Ming nodded, "you sound like a parrot. That's what I said. We're having an important roommate meeting at Mr.Cho's tonight."

Si'Enya knew that the meeting would have something to do with the letter taped to their door. The apartment had a bug infestation and all the residents were being asked to move by the end of simlonic month. However, her brain was clouded with serious issues of her own, she thought nothing of the letter or the meeting.

Elphy wondered if she was going to be fussed at. She honestly didn't mean to overflow the toilet, or break the coffee pot, or pull the phone from the wall. 

"I've been thinking," Ming started. "I'm getting older and it's time for me to make some changes in my life."

"I didn't mean to!"

"What are you talking about Elphy?"

"I didn't mean to break the coffee pot."

"Whatever, the coffee pot always breaks every Tuesday just about."

"Oh..."

"I brought a house."

"You what?"

"I brought a townhouse. I'm wasting money by renting and I'm not getting any younger, so I decided to buy a townhouse. If you guys want to move in with me, that's fine."

"I'd love to move in with you, if that's ok." Elphy exclaimed.

"What about you, Si'Enya?"

Si'Enya was quiet, her mind thinking about Trevor's question for the past simweek. "No, I won't be moving in with you. Last simweek Trevor asked me to-"

"You're getting married!?!?!?"

"What is it with you Warwick sisters getting married so quickly."

"I'm not getting married."

"But you said Trevor asked you-"

"To move in with him! He brought a townhouse and he wants me to move in with him."

"Really? That's great. Where is the house?"

"It's on University-"

"No way, that's where my house is! 12 University-"

"Really, we're in 14 University-"

"So we may not be living together, but we're going to be neighbors!" Elphy squealed.

Ming had plenty of help moving in to her new townhouse, 

Krissy and S'Ahmisa came over to help with the details after the movers had brought everything in.

They also brought their opinions about Ming's new adventure.

"Really? SimBacherlotte? You signed up for the show?"

"I thought it would be a good way to shag some guys."

"You do realize the premise is to find love, right?"

"Whatever, all I know is that the producers are promising a free trip to the Bachelorette Villa and five lucky bachelors. I hope they're willing to do anything to win my affections."

Ming was able to keep all the furniture from the apartment since Si'Enya didn't want any of it. Apparently she and Trevor would be hiring a designer to renovate their townhome which meant they didn't have any need for the sofas, beds or numerous plants and art work.

Actually, they would be hiring a designer to re-work the work of a previous designer.

"Really, this isn't even your style, Trevor. Why did you allow them to do this?"

"It fits my image of being a sought after rock star. It looks good for magazine pictures," he said trying to distract her with kisses.

"That's not the real Trevor," she said switching so that she was straddling him. "We can keep the recording studio, but everything else needs to reflect the real us."

"I wouldn't have it any other way."

The first thing they tackled was the rooftop garden, since they both loved the outdoors. 

They kept the studio where Trevor worked on his album

and wrote new music.

This time around he was doing a number of duets, including one with Kenny Coners of Mellow Metal.

Unlike Trevor and Si'Enya, Ming didn't have much money left for renovations on her place. She and Elphy spent one afternoon painting the kitchen cabinets a bright yellow, but one simday, Ming wanted to have a designer come and make over her place. Until she could afford the designer fee and the materials, she needed to make due with what she had. She might not have children like her crazy friends, but she did have a little desire to put down roots...a very little desire.
