Coloring Within the Lines, 2010

Havar, fall, 2010
Principal: Johan Shazad; Primary Teacher K-3: Jasmine Frankson; Primary Teacher 4-6: Ilila Peterson

Primary Students: Aaron Sweeny, and Simora Sweeny are in 6th grade; Breckin Grey and Esther Dawson are in 3rd grade; Chase Dawson, Amyra Dawson, Jennifer Kent, Jessica Kent, Lara Grey and Matt Sweeny are in 2nd grade; Lilly Ana McMillian, Alia Shae Wilsonoff, and Udar Shazad are in 1st grade; Ana Rayne Wilsonoff, Jeremy Kent, Lora McMillian, Indira Grey and Craig Smith are in kindergarten

Construction had started on the additional classrooms and not a moment too soon.

Ilila planned on also hiring an additional primary school teacher so that each teacher would be responsible for about two grades each.

Until then, the classes were crowded,

every adult had to take a few students and maintain order in the school.

Johan would direct students to research in the library

which the students for the most part enjoyed especially if they were able to work on the computer.

Jasmine was able to try to teach her students the basics of sharing

which some were still finding difficult,

especially when it involved crayons.

Some of the older students were practicing reading and could even do a few worksheets on their own.

Ilila still had the smallest class, even though she had added the third graders to her load as well.

There was still joint recess,

which allowed all the teachers to monitor the students

and attempt to rotate some sort physical education lessons.

They were severely understaffed and Ilila knew that they needed more teachers

desperately if they wanted the children to succeed.

  1. I'm glad the teachers are coping with the extra workload - the kids are lucky that they're so dedicated. I hope it's not too much longer until they have the extra classrooms and a new teacher though!

  2. I hope the new construction is done soon and they have their new teacher quickly. At least the teachers are working hard to make sure the kids are learning. The kids looked cute on the sofa in the library, studying hard.

  3. They do look adorable, don't they? I love Sim kids... I wish KS had more than one at the moment.

The teachers seem to be coping very well, but I think they will be relieved when the new teacher arrives.

  4. So many cute kids! The teachers seem to be doing a good job in the interim and hopefully construction will be done soon.......

  5. Carla, I can't wait until more teachers arrive.

Maisie, the contruction should be done soon, hopefully by spring, thanks for reading.

  6. I wonder if any more teachers will be coming down to help with the students. I'm sure there will only be more students coming soon enough.

  7. Choco, more teachers will be coming, I just need them to graduate?

  8. Running schools are hard. Have you figured out the teacher problem?

  9. Heredon Cove, I did figure it out, and they will hopefully join the staff soon.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment! :)
