Optional Soundtrack: Happy-Leona Lewis
Lainey looked in disgust as Verde grabbed her hand.
"No! I won't marry you!"
She heard S'Ahmisa crying in the background and she shot the woman an evil look.
"Look this way, Lainey!" The photographer said bringing her back to the present.
It was her wedding day and she would soon be Mrs. Herendez in a few hours.
The day was finally here and she would be taking that step.
She knew that other women wouldn't be here, they wouldn't have chose to wear the white dress
smiling next to the woman that they knew their fiance was in love with.
But she had made that choice, she couldn't have it all. She had to make the choice of what she was willing to accept and live with and what she was willing to lose and give up.
This was the choice she was making, she wanted to be happy, like all others did.
Her happiness however came with a price. It threatened to hurt her, to leave her in so much pain, to break her down, but she was trying...trying to be happy, trying to walk the path before her.
But she couldn't help but wonder if it was enough. She wouldn't be a victim in the eventual carnage of emotions. She knew exactly what she was agreeing to.
She just hoped that it would be enough,

Ugh, leave us hanging there? You do know you're evil right? lol I want to know what Verde sid or did t make Lainey react in that fashion! And she still married him! I can't wait to find out.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to seeing whether Lainey goes through with this. It sounds like she's having some serious doubts about it and who could blame her? I mean, imagining leaving your fiance at the altar? That would be a red flag for most and it seems like more than cold feet to me.

ReplyDeleteCarla, I think Lainey is evaluating if marriage to Verde and dealing with his love for S'Ahmisa truly enough to keep her happy and satisfied.
My goodness, my stomach dropped reading the first few lines. I can't believe that it ended this way. This will definitely be an interesting wedding to say the least.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure marrying Verde will be enough to keep Lainey happy, if she's having thoughts like that. I know if I wasn't absolutely sure I was making the right move, I wouldn't have let it get near enough to the altar to be able to leave someone there... but I'll be waiting to see what choice Lainey makes.

So my first thought was "oh no, he said the wrong name" when I saw those first few pics.....I hope I'm wrong, smh. I knew this would be hard for her. It's hard letting go, but looking into his eyes day after day, knowing that she was never his first choice, would be hard as well. I'm so conflicted! I want to know what happened, but I know it's going to break my heart, no matter how it ends :/
