Higher Dosage, 2010

Patar, summer, 2010
"Do you have any side effects from the treatment?" Dr. O'Dale asked reviewing the chart.

"Umm, I have no hair or eyebrows...is that a side effect?"

"If it bothers you, then I recommend a wig. I can give you a list of contacts for some very nice wigs. Any other side effects? Nausea? Dizziness?"

"When will we know if everything is working?" Jorge demanded.

"The tests are still inconclusive. We need to continue treatment for now and possibly experiment with different dosages later this simweek."

"How much longer will she need treatment?" Jolie asked.

"Until we can be sure that it's working. Right now it's not, so we have to keep trying and I recommend that we move to an higher dosage. That would mean more severe side effects. Do you think you can handle it, Grace Elise?"

She nodded, "I think so, yeah."

"Good, I'll see you in a few simdays for your next round of treatment. Try to rest until then, ok?"

---

"Good morning," Dr. McMillian accepted a warm hug from the young couple.

"How are you?"

"I'm doing well,"

"Ha! She was complaining in the waiting room about the baby trying to kick a hole in her lungs."

Suzanna laughed, "It can feel that way sometimes. Let's take a look."

"Everything looks great, the baby is measuring a bit large, but nothing to be concerned about. The baby's feet are under your ribcage, so that explains the discomfort you feel. Otherwise, everything looks fine."

---

"How are you feeling?"

"I feel huge and fat and my ankles are swollen and I am missing out on auditions."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Suzanna grimaced. She knew that Susie and Anthony hadn't planned on this pregnancy, nor their last, in fact none of their pregnancies were planned. However, Susie was especially displeased with the current pregnancy.

"The baby looks healthy and soon you'll be able to return to your auditions."

"Is there anyway we can do something permanent about this baby situation? I really don't want to be here a fourth time."

"We can discuss that yes. I have a few brochures that you can look over at home."

  1. Poor Grace Elise! :( I really hope the treatment works for her

I wasn't expecting that from Susie. Is she wanting to get rid of the current pregnancy, or is she wanting to prevent all future pregnancies?

  2. Danie, Susie is referring to future pregnancies. Thanks for reading.

  3. "Umm, I have no hair or eyebrows...is that a side effect?"

I just couldn't help smiling at that line, even knowing everything Grace Elise and her family are going through. I also hope she can get through this and that any future side effects of the treatment won't be too bad for her.

By the way, announcing the arrival of Kim Yoo, daughter of Li and John zan-Sophie. (I'm terrible with names, but at least I came up with one this time!) I'll get the post up (at last)once I hear back on this: would it be best if Kim returned to AV with her mother or stayed in Kulo Seeri? I'm just asking because 1) I know Li's children with Tobi stayed with him after their divorce and 2) John and his wife (!) Aurora are both Family Sims, but thanks to a bad roll of the dice Aurora cannot have children. She's managed to accept that - and the baby - and would be happy to have Kim stay with them if that would be better for her in the long run.

So, anyway, what are your thoughts on it?

  4. I was thinking are you serious when Dr. O'dale asked about side effects lol. The girl is bald, it doesn't get any more obvious than that! I really hope the treatment starts working for her though. I laughed at Susie, I'm sure she does want a permanent fix after three unplanned kids!

  5. VT, Grace Elise is something else, she just blurts out everything in her mind. Hmmm, knowing Li, the baby should probably stay with Aurora and John. If the same thing had happened to Li while in AV, I doubt she would keep the baby :\

Mizzgin, I hope the increased dosage works out as well. Susie was over having babies three babies ago, but apparently they don't have much luck with birth control, thanks for reading.

  6. Poor Grace Elise! I hope the treatment starts to work for her. She's so young. :(

I'm excited about meeting these babies, even if their poor mamas are a bit uncomfortable right now. I'm not surprised Susie asked about permanent measures, lol!

  7. Aw, poor Grace Elise! She's such a pretty girl, and hopefully pretty tough! I hope she has good luck overcoming her illness.

Oh, and I'll add my name to the list of those of us eagerly awaiting the births of these babies! :)

  8. Carla, I think Susie regrets not asking about those issues when she was pregnant with Starling. This will be Krissy's last...unless she somehow becomes a playable.

Simberry Fields, I hope she has good luck with recovering as well. Thanks for reading.

  9. I hope those treatments work and Grace Elise can resume being happy & healthy. Poor girl.

I'm so happy that Susie is looking into options. If she and Anthony don't, she'll be up to her neck in babies. I want to see her dance!

  10. Awww! I feel so bad for Grace Elise! Fingers crossed for a successful treatment!

I can't wait for all the new babies! LOL at Susie though, hopefully she and Anthony won't have any more surprises (like twins: Eek!), because Susie might just kill her husband.

  11. Choco, I hope so as well, she has so many plans. Thanks for reading.

Coolkat, don't even say that word-twins! Susie would come after you!

  12. I really hope that the treatment will start working for her. Poor girl with no hair or eyebrows. :( That's definitely a side effect, but not one that "matters" in the grand scheme of trying to cure an illness.

Poor Susie, but I think 3 is enough for her too! It's a lot of kids, and she has aspirations of her own. I'm hoping they have another girl.

  13. Maisie, I don't mind if they have a girl or boy this time, I have a bird themed name for each :)
